HashedLab

AI · Blockchain · Payments

We build the parts that have to keep working.

HashedLab is an engineering company working on applied AI and machine learning, blockchain infrastructure, and exchange and payment systems.

What we do

Three areas. Here is the engineering.

  • 01

    AI & machine learning

We build the AI that has to live on real data: agents, retrieval you can inspect, fine-tuning, and the evals that say whether it worked. Hosted or self-hosted inference, with routing, failover and token budgets designed in — not discovered on the invoice.

    • LLM agents
    • RAG & vector search
    • MCP tool surfaces
    • Fine-tuning & evals
    • Self-hosted inference
    • Cost and latency budgets
  • 02

    Blockchain

Smart contracts, and the machinery around them: wallets and custody, indexers, nodes, settlement. A mainnet deploy cannot be patched like a web app, so review, tests and audit come first — not after the incident.

    • Smart contracts
    • Wallets & custody
    • Indexers & on-chain data
    • Node infrastructure
    • Bridges & settlement
    • Audit preparation
  • 03

    Exchanges & payment systems

Matching engines and order books, double-entry ledgers, reconciliation, KYC/AML, fiat and crypto rails. A money system is judged on the day it is under load: correctness first, then latency, then everything else.

    • Matching engines
    • Order books
    • Double-entry ledgers
    • Reconciliation
    • KYC/AML
    • PSP & rail integrations

Stack

No house stack.

Across AI, blockchain and payments the right tool is rarely the same twice, so we do not keep a house language or framework. If we are joining a system rather than starting one, we work in whatever it is already written in.

The constraint picks the language
Throughput, tail latency, concurrency, iteration speed — one of them is always the binding constraint. That one decides.
Somebody else will operate it
Code is written for the team that inherits the pager, in the idiom they already read. A clever choice nobody else can maintain is a cost we handed to the client.
We join what exists
Most systems worth working on are already running. The first deliverable is understanding, not a rewrite proposal.

How we work

How the work actually goes.

The spec comes first
Every change starts as a written decision with the reasoning attached. The next person should be able to see why, not just what.
Done means running
A thing that only works in a demo is not done. We stay through deploy, the first real load, and the handoff.
Leave it operable
The team that inherits it has to run it without us. If they can't, we didn't finish.
